Love love love the lighting in the black and white photo. It's a great balance between light and dark. Good job!

Location
This was taken at my daughters home, its not often that i get a great photo of him as he is a vey active dog, never sits long enough to get a shot.Time
This was taken about mid afternoon, Moose is my daughters dog, I was looking after the house and animals, when this was taken, it was in the middle of summer here in New Zeland and both dogs were runnung in and out of the house playing. Moose then sat done on his bed and started chewing his toy, i only had a window of about 5 minutes to get the photo, so lucky the camera was out and ready.Lighting
The lighting is natural, my daughter's house has big windows and ranchsliders to let the sun and day light in so it is an amazing place for photo's.Equipment
This photo was taken with my Canon 60D, using a 24-105 professional canon lens, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
I love to shoot animals, and I had been trying to get a good photo of the dogs for a long time. This dog Moose is so active that it is really hard to get him to stay in one place long enough. I had my camera out on the table and he came inside with the chew toy and sat on his bed and started chewing it, so i quickly grabbed the camera and sat on the floor and took a raft of shots before he got up and ran off again. This is one of those shots.Editing
I processed the raw file, cropped the photo to get it nice and close, then i turned the photo to black and white and used a bit of shadow and highlight to enhance those area's.In my camera bag
My bag is full to the brim and thank goodness it is on wheels, i carry everything. My canon 60D camera, 3 professional canon lenses, my 100-400mm, for those great zoom shots, 24-105mm this is my everyday lens, I use this for mainly everything. And then my 50mm. 2 batteries and charger, flash unit and batteries, power pack, cloth's, cards, usb stick, tripod or mono pod depending on the shoot, plastic bag in case it rains.Feedback
Always be prepared, have your camera at the ready, animals are hard to shoot at the best of times as they do what they want when they want, so its about alway looking for that opportunity and being ready and fast. Have your camera on contunious burst that way you are more likely to get that one awesome shot that you want. My main advice to anyone is alway enjoy what you are doing and then you will get the best results.
