Peacock visiting my neighbor's yard in the California Redwoods. We think it had escaped from a captive colony of the birds farther north of us. Enchanted with this gorgeous creature, I hiked over every afternoon to hang out with him while he strutted, stared at me defiantly, and ate the seeds and berries scattered about.
