Museum Of The Moon is a project by artist Luke Jerram, consisting of an seven metre diameter exact replica of the Moon. Internally lit, the sphere is covered in surface mapping photographed by NASA, and suspended by wire above our heads. I photographed this amazing exhibit in the darkened assembly chamber in Birkenhead Museum (formerly the town hall) in November 2019. Thanks to my Nikon Z6's five-stop IBIS I was able to use shutter speeds as low as 1/10 of a second, at ISO 1600, and still maintain reasonable sharpness.

Taken on 15th November 2019
