looks just like a Night Heron I saw in our Ecology Park the other summer. I was not expecting to see a Heron that day and did not have the Focal Length to get a shot as great as this. Beautiful!

I spotted this fellow from the other side of the mere and hurried around to get closer and with the heron against a darker background. Luckily, he waited patiently for several minutes until I found my perfect shooting position. I took only two shots and then he swooped away. I'm glad you like this shot, Anne. Thanks.
