I had shared a capture from this same evening. One that was taken around sunset with the sky ablaze. This is the capture 'Long after'. When the sky is aglow with the residue of the blazing sunset. The 'After Glow' so to speak. :)

Packed up the gear and went home never knowing what happened! Just like when the best photo of the outing is the one behind you. I've missed some good ones so now I always turn around during the shoot!

Same here. I had actually gone to shoot butterflies at a nearby sanctuary. But the butterflies had already migrated and I was returning home disappointed. 5miles into the freeway, I saw clouds moving in. Turned back around to rush to the beach. Reached just as the sky was turning a blazing color of orange.
