On our last day of vacation my sons & I drove down to this pier in Aptos, CA to look around. There was a shipwreck at the end of the pier. The S.S. Palo Alto. My sons were fascinated by it. We ended up underneath the pier, & I took a few photos while my boys watched the waves. I think this photo works in monochrome. I think the pillars stand out more against the sky & the water that way.
