Location
I took this photo in Colombia, CA. It is a quaint little tourist town, and there are great places for portraits.Time
I believe it was late morning.Lighting
The subject was just lighted with natural light from the sun.Equipment
I used the Canon EOS 80D camera that I had at the time with my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. I hand-held it, and no flash was used.Inspiration
I took senior photos of this young man, and got the inspiration for this shot from Pinterest. He was very cooperative, and his mom happened to have the perfect chair for him to sit in!Editing
I only did minor post-processing. I think I changed the white balance a bit to give him more natural skin tones. In my camera bag
I now have a Canon EOS R that I love! The lenses I have are: Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8, Canon EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8, and Canon 100mm IS USM f/2.8 Macro lens. I keep it in a Lowepro backpack. I have a Sirui tripod with a Manfrotto ball head that I absolutely love!Feedback
Be adventuresome! Research and plan ahead, but be willing to go with the flow & and go with it if things don't always go your way. It especially helps if your subject is flexible & ready to try new things.
