Location
This photo was taken at Montana de Oro beach in California. It's one of my favorite beaches. I used to visit there on a regular basis when I lived in S.Cal. Now I live in Central CA. and don't get there very often.Time
This photo was taken in the evening before sundown. I was hoping for a beautiful sunset, but it just got foggy.Lighting
Just filtered lighting from the sun on a foggy day.Equipment
I used a Canon 80D, Canon 10-22mm lens, and my tripod. It was a 4 sec. exposure at f/22.Inspiration
I wanted to show my elation at being at the ocean again & out of the valley heat & I wanted a long exposure to soften the waves, so I set up my tripod & composed the shot, & ran out there & stood really still with my arms out. I'm happy it turned out!Editing
I didn't do much post-processing. Just a few adjustments in Aperture. In my camera bag
I have a Canon EOS 80D body. The lenses I have are: Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8, Canon EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5,Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 and Canon Macro EF 100mm. I keep them in a Lowepro backpack. I have a Sirui tripod with a Manfrotto ball head that I absolutely love!Feedback
Don't be afraid to try new things & experiment. Take time to get that shot you want. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, again!! You never know, it might win an award!!
