The Pontiac Chieftain was an automobile produced by the Pontiac Motors Division of General Motors from 1949 to 1958. Chieftains were one of the first all new car designs to come to Pontiac in the post-World War II years. Previous cars had been 1942 models with minor revisions.
Here in the northern part of New Mexico the Native American people living on the reservation would buy a new Pontiac and immediately drive it down to the auto supply. There they would buy a set of Champion spark plugs and install them immediately. It would be wonderful to someday be able to find out how this tradition started etc...

Thank you! This was a very big stetch for me as the yard and surronunding area was full of junk etc.......the editing saved the day and made the Pontiac for sure best of show.
