The main photograph that comprised this image was taken on a June evening from Deansgate Metro station in Manchester.
Being a person who's always been interested in the forces that guide us, around the time of capturing this photograph I had been contemplating the nature of wants.
Through observing myself and the world around me I was beginning to understand that although wants begin as small, simple and attractive fluttering fantasies. That if fed, they can become strange and complicated things. Often becoming tangled and indistinguishable from motivation, happiness, and even depression by there owners. Slowly they can begin to own the people that once owned them. A force to be reckoned with and aware of.
I designed the composition of this image with a focused centre and an attractive and alluring colour. The tangled branches make parts of the image difficult to distinguish. The pair of eyes on the right hand side is now barely detectable from the background.
