In a clients warehouse for a product shoot.Time
It's hardly important ! All of the light from this image was provided by a studio flash.Lighting
yeh, just one horizontal strip bank from the left hand side, thats all ! The background was actually white seamless paper but was too far away from the flash to catch any light.Equipment
I used a canon 5ds, 100mm macro f2.8L, just a standard run of the mill tripod, the flash was an elinchrom studio flash and the bulb was taken on transparent perspex held up by a couple of saw horses :( ( I think thats the name of them ! )Inspiration
Well, I was done for the day with shooting the catalogue of standard white background products and I wanted to take the time to give my clients something extra so I messed around a little.Editing
Yeh, but not much, just to get rid of dust on the perspex.In my camera bag
It really depends on the shoot but for products the 100mm macro, some studio flash and my 5ds + tripod. props are also hugely important along with locations if ti's not just a white background shot, however these change from time to time.Feedback
Yeh, it's really easy shot to take, just follow the advice above ! It couldn't be simpler. but make sure the background is far away and the flash is powerful enough to blow all of the other light out !
