Wonderful portrait of this person. It is always sad to see the effects that cultures with multiple, complex options can have upon cultures with simplistic options. It is difficult for small scale cultures to withstand the onslaught of all the new stuff that is thrown their way. The eyes of this person shows the forlorn thoughts that can come when the future is so uncertain and no real, viable alternative to escape the coming future. You captured the look so well. Great photograph.

Thanks. Yes I did, he speaks a dialect that is close to Sinhala my mother tongue. Now lives a hand to mouth existence as we have encroached his lands ,ways of life and, probably his right to live too.

Sad, but beautiful at the same time .. if that's possible? And yes, there's a story in those eyes. Well done!

Now that I see this portrait I prefer it to the other previous one. Like the colour, texture and gaze (mood). Well done!

Deep and meaningful portrait. Some say we can't escape progress...an interesting opinion considering how progress is destroying our beautiful earth
and many of the people and animals living on it.
