These are my favorite type of tree. I would love to have one in my yard, but they may not do well in Piedmont section of NC, US. I have seen them in in our Mountains,or in the New England states. Excellent composition of these trees.

What a fantastic image! I only began considering photography as more than just a passing fancy, around Feb of this year, so I will not try to make myself appear more knowledgeable than I actually am by praising the intricacies that make this capture amazing. ..(I mean, I am taking pics with my iPhone until I can afford a real camera) What I will say, however juvenile it may seem, is that it makes my heart smile. The trees look like long, glorious zebra legs … perfectly aligned, just as nature intended... I thank you for that. :)

Love the repetition of the black and white tree-trunks, almost as if they are hiding something in the background, as they seem to get thicker. Chapeau! ;)

While we don't have birch groves here, the 'Beriozka' is the subject of songs, paintings and stories from my parents... surely, this would be a 'national tree of that part of the world! Excellent work! :)
