.....You may not think this is real. I can assure you it is....
.....On my way to work just last Friday, I cross over a bridge that spans a small river....just before that bridge is a seldom noticed road.....Well, I just happened to look over in that direction and I could see fog in a low lying field ....Really, I don't have time for this, and more than likely, not that interesting, I need some fog over a canyon, something of that nature but, something twisted my arm because off i went! ...I thought i noticed 2 small deer ... awesome!!!..i opened my door quietly and reached for the camera ....zoomed in and low and behold, they were nothing but 2 barbeques... I laughed quietly at myself lol!!! .
.....Well, I'm down here anyway, so i drove another 50 feet or so and just snapped a couple shots with low lying fog and some trees...ho-hum, some deer would have been kind of interesting....
..... ~That's when i looked over my shoulder and i could not believe my eyes!!! A tree that was emanating rays of light from beneath its crown... that tree was encircled in this light!!! ....I had just looked over there and nothing, turn my back for 2 seconds and bam!!! Somebody had turned the light on underneath that tree...it looked like a tree lamp...I looked around...none of the other trees were exhibiting this event, how strange....just this one tree.
.....Well take the shot YaYa for crying out loud lol! Oh i was desperate, there was no time for tripods, my camera was all set up for wildlife...made some quick rough estimates for the exposure.....the excitement was getting the best of me....to a degree. I snapped as many as i could from different angles and lenses .....as much as i could before the fog would lift ....after I had a few shots, i nervously checked a few images in the tiny playback screen...looked close, exposure was correct but....what about sharpness...its pretty dark down here and any movement on my part will obviously blur the shots...I just kept shooting for about 4 minutes...and hoped for the best.
.....The most interesting aspect was the duration of time the event lasted....such a fleeting moment, i doubt i will ever see it again ....and luckily and quite happily ....i am able to share this!
