Before the recent period of European settlement on this island the indigenous peoples lived and fished along these shore for thousands of years and they left it pretty much as they found it. This pictograph was on the low tide beach, perhaps to encourage fish to enter a trap at high tide. Later picked up and deposited in the little park nearby.
