Brilliant fall color near Newfound Gap, in Great Smoky Mountains National Park (NC side). It's been a month now since I've been able to get out with the camera into the mountains, so I'm really looking forward to a break and a chance to get outside again. Normally, I don't focus too much on smaller scenes like this, but there's something about the geometry and contrast that easily caught my eye!
