A cub of Galapagos Sea Lion (Zalophus wollebaeki) was waiting for its mother on the sand of La Lobería beach, where this species usually uses hundreds of lava rocks as a reproduction area. Finally a few minutes later its mother arrived. Zalophus wollebaeki is endemic to the Galapagos Islands and listed as Endangered (EN) on the IUCN Red List. The photo was taken in the San Cristobal Island, Galapagos, Ecuador.
