A trip to Alaska this pat June included a 6 day stay at Silver Salmon Creek Lodge. The lodge has very accommodating and knowledgeable guides. Even using a 100-400 lens on my Canon Dx1, allowed me a very closeup shot. While eating the grass the bears always had an eye on us and watching for other predatory bears.
