A small public lake came to our attention this summer. Due to the fact, the lake was in the country and pretty secluded we though there would be no light pollution. This lake also has an abandoned farm stead on it. We planned on taking Milky Way photos in August, knowing that the Milky Way is bet seen late summer in our area. We arrived in the evening, explored some ideas and set up our cameras. When darkness fell and the Milky Way started to appear, we realized there was still background lights coming from a distance source. Not much we could do but shoot. We also didn't realize how many aircraft would go across the sky during our shoot. those aircraft were easily taken out with Content aware in Photoshop.
