Photo I took of an Amish horse drawn carriage going by the family farm on a country road near Orleans, Indiana. The Amish people refuse to use modern tools and conveniences, preferring to maintain a late-nineteenth century lifestyle. There is a large Amish community in southern Indiana, and it's common to see them in their horse-drawn carriages and wagons on country roads and farms in the area. This culture's lifestyle inspires a sense of tranquility and timelessness as well as an intrinsically interesting and photogenic image.
