Abandoned barn on the family farm near Orleans, Indiana (U.S) The unique aspect of this photo is that the empty barn stands in the middle of a field, with no farmhouse or other buildings around. It is also a symbol of the disappearing small farmers throughout the country, unable to compete with corporate farming. I also liked the contrast of the dark colors of the barn against the vast green fields.
