Love it. One thing I'm always afraid of in the early morning are the rattle snakes and no cell coverage. Plus I have a crappy sense of direction so I never go to far out.

Thank you. I think of those things too. In the early morning (before sunrise) I don't worry about snakes too much, although I try to watch my footsteps. I am aware that I'm all alone, and with no cell, if I was to have a problem, I would be on my own, maybe for hours... In the case of a Green Mohave that would mean death. Still, I'd die doing what I love. On this day, I never saw one car for the 22 mile drive to this spot and in the 3 miles of hiking I did (half before sunrise) I never saw another person until i got back to where I'd parked! I'd prefer the buddy system...
