Photo I managed to capture of what I believe to be a flock of Sanderlings, a type of Sandpipers, in flight over the wetlands at the Bolsa Chica Wildlife Reserve near Huntington Beach, California. These birds fly so fast and erratically that it is difficult to catch a shot of them flying, so I felt very fortunate to have captured this image. The beautiful coloration of the birds enhanced the dramatic effect.
