The Osprey pictured is just launching from his perch as it has spotted its prey. A few hundred yards from the Old Head Tide Bridge. Located at the Sheepscot River, Alna, Maine. Fish make up 99% of the osprey's diet. However, occasionally it may prey on rodents, rabbits, hares, amphibians, other birds, and small reptiles. Prey is first sighted when the osprey is 10–40 m (33–131 ft).
