Yes, she first came with her 2 brothers in July. Mom must have thrown them out. She was the runt and very small. I called DNR. They said if they came they would catch her and put her down. So I just started throwing out a lot of bird seed and peanuts and fruit. She would raid my bird feeders. We only came to the cabin on the weekends. By November she had tripled in size and was a beautiful bear. She would hang out around the cabin. I could go on the deck with her and take pictures, but I would never touch her. Her brothers quit coming by the end of July and she came through November. She was a beautiful wild bear. I have lots of pics of her. See my Bear album. We've had lots of bears at the cabin. We have a big creek that runs at the end of our property and it is a bear path. A couple of years ago, we had a mom and 4 little bitty cubs that came from April through Nov.

She was very comfortable around us and our cabin. We enjoyed her visits! She was a sweet, but wild bear!

This is an amazing capture. We have had our bird feeder torn down by bears a couple times but always at night so I have not gotten any pictures of them. We started bringing the feeder in at night. The only bears we have seen from our house during daylight hours were a couple hundred yards away so not very good photos of them.

The bears have torn down so many feeders of mine that I usually just throw the bird seed and deer corn on the ground now off the back deck of the cabin. This darling bear was my favorite. I could be on the deck with her. She was a wild bear though. She would have died had we not feed her. Called DNR and they said they would have put her down if they came out and I was not going to let that happen.
