The River Inn in Passau, southeast Germany, immediately before joining the Danube. The Danube is straight ahead on the right of the image, coming in from the left on the other side of the buildings, which are on a very narrow peninsula of land between the two rivers that ends after the trees beyond the little tower.
Not surprisingly, the River Inn has previously passed through Innsbruck (meaning "Bridge over the Inn"), some 250km away in Austria, on its way to join the Danube.
Passau is in fact known as a three-river city as the River Ilz also joins the Danube at the exact same spot, coming in from the north, on the left in the image, behind the buildings.
The church in the image is St Michael's, a Jesuit church.
