Photo I took of a blue jay and a woodpecker fighting over a feeder in our backyard near Coarsegold, California. I was fascinated by the anger expressed in the blue jay's face and the postures of the two birds as they faced off against each other. Obviously, the jay won this fight. I was also fascinated by the abstract quality of the photo as the blue jay was in full fight mode with spread wings and the woodpecker was taking flight. The color contrasts added to make for a particularly vivid image.
