I love photography because it has taught me to view the world in such a beautiful way. I look around me and notice all the beautiful details God has laid before us.

My camera lets me capture how I see the world through my own unique vision.

I find inspiration in all things. If you look closely at the details of your life, you find how blessed you are in the good times and bad.  I try to take away something from every experience in my life.

One of the photos I am most proud of is "Deep in Thought"; a small girl dressed in her family's heritage attire.  The shot I captured was of her saying a real prayer over her family.

My favorite place to shoot is wherever I can find soft beautiful light. I don't focus on the background so much as the lighting.  But I feel most creative out I the middle of the woods with beautiful light coming through the trees. Something about nature totally inspires me.

One of my favorite photos on ViewBug is “Ma & Pa”; a sweet older couple I captured at their great grand daughter's wedding.  You can see after 60 yrs of marriage the love is still so cherished by them both.

My favorite lens is my 70-200mm 2.8. I love capturing moments from a distance.  I feel as if I'm capturing a part of something so real and special due to it not being planned or the fact they might not know I even took the photo, and then later be surprised and in love with the realness of the image.

These are 3 quick tips I’d like to share with fellow photographers:

1. Be yourself: Know that everyone starts somewhere and it's ok to find inspiration in other photographers.  Even if you try to be like them, eventually your style will evolve into who God intended for your vision to be.

2. Learn your light: Light that falls around you everywhere.  I believe lighting an image correctly makes the photo what it is.

3. Let your vision unfold: Don't try so hard.  Let it come naturally and just don't second guess yourself.

My favorite item in my camera bag is my camera.  It's always with me.  I love knowing that I'm able to capture a glimpse of time that will last forever.

If I could shoot one dream location it would be Ireland because capturing the beautiful rolling hills and scenery would be absolutely heavenly.
