Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken at the beautiful Hamsterly Forest in County Durham

Time

I had tried all day to get the perfect shot and then walking back to the car saw this butterfly posing for me! It was the best shot I got that day!

Lighting

I wanted the lighting to be just right so the butterfly stood out against the background. The light on its wings depicted its beauty perfectly.

Equipment

This was shot on my Canon EOS 4000D

Inspiration

I love to take macro shots and in such a large space of forest and river I wanted to capture something small and intricate that others would simply walk right past.

Editing

I sharpened the contrast slightly so the butterfly stood out against the background

In my camera bag

I always carry my Canon camera just in case I miss anything!
