This tree is a spectacular landmark in Africa. It is over 700 years old. The birds that nest in this tree only nest on the Western branches. I don't remember why they do this. The lower part of the trunk shows the damage done by elephants stripping the bark off for food during drought years.Editing
I used PhotoShop to dodge and burn and added an overall color tint.In my camera bag

Shoot a lot of angles and take your time. For me, this was a once-in-a-lifetime image.
