Behind The Lens

Location

This was captured just outside of downtown St. Louis, MO

Time

Sunrise

Lighting

I was in the woods turkey hunting at sunrise. The mosquitos were absolutely horrible. I couldn't take them anymore and walked out into a field. From there I could get a good look at the sky. Wow, what did I see !!!!

Equipment

Note 8 Android phone

Inspiration

The sunrise was stunning. I capture probably 20 exposures to make sure I got a good one.

Editing

I underexposed in Camera Raw to hide the buildings and junk in the foreground and darkened the corners. In PhotoShop I dodged the sunrays a slight bit and added a solid color overlay (orange) and put it in the soft light blend mode at a 40% opacity.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon 60D and a couple of lenses.
