Location
I took this at Brevik a wonderful place to take a bath. But maybe not now. Brevik is near Åkersberga north of Stockholm where i live. The photo overlooks Trälhavet.Time
The photo is from 13 Februari. I went out to catch the sunset and took this at 17:00.Lighting
I took several photos and was actually waiting for the sun to touch the horizon. But going through them afterwards this turned out to be the best.Equipment
I use a Panasonic DMC-G80 with my Lumix G 12-60 lens at 12 mm. Using aperture priority and f/13 to get the sun right and a tripod to able to compose the picture. pInspiration
Sun sets is a classic motiv and I have taken some at another small beach here in Åkersberga. When the winter sky cleared I thought it was time to find a new setting nearby.Editing
I do my post-processing in Affinity Photo. What made this photo stand-out was to slightly adjust the blue color curve. This gave a more purple touch to the sky.In my camera bag
I always have my bag packed. My camera Panasonic Lumix and all of my lenses. Lumix all of them, 50 mm, 12-32 mm, 45-150 mm and 12-60 mm. Then I also carry around a ND8 filter a set of pre-set lenses for close-up photos.Feedback
I find it important to think about the aperture when you want to get a nice shoot of the sun. Manually adjust it get it more like a star. This photo was taken with aperture 13 but I can go to 22 pending on the time of day. A tripod is also nice to have. I makes it easier to figure out a nice composition.
