Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on family vacation at Wai, a small and beautiful hamlet about 6 hours drive from Mumbai, India.

Time

This was taken in the morning. It was a nice and bright day with clear skies.

Lighting

The light was nice and bright. It really helped in bringing out the details in the bird.

Equipment

This was taken handheld with a Nikon d5600 and 70-300 mm kit lens.

Inspiration

I love to photograph wildlife and landscapes. The place where we were staying had an abundance of bird activity.

Editing

Added a little bit of vibrance to the image to bring out the colors of the bird. Also added a vignette to the background to make the bird stand out.

In my camera bag

Nowadays I carry a Fuji XT-3 with a Fujinon XF 100-400mm and a 18-55mm. I also carry my tripod for landscape photography.

Feedback

When photographing wildlife and birds you have to be patient and at the same time aware of your subjects behavior. You tend to miss out on some magic moments if you are not paying attention.
