Location
This photo was taken in back waters of the Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary in India. It was taken at sunrise just before we proceeded with our bird photography tour.Time
Woke up at 5 am in the morning and traveled about 20 minutes to the Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary to witness the sunrise. There was this one boat in the water which captured my imagination.Lighting
It was sunrise and the first rays were just hitting the water. These were the perfect lighting conditions to get a minimalistic silhouette of the boat in the water.Equipment
This was taken with a Fuji xt3 and a 100-400 mm lens. It is an handheld shot and no flash.Inspiration
There was this boat which was away from the others and made for a wonderful minimalistic photo. The sunrise and the rays hitting the water made for a perfect shot.Editing
I have colour corrected this photo to give a warm tone and enhanced the golden light which the water caught. It was all done using Lightroom. In my camera bag
I always have my Fuji XT3, 18-55mm and 100-400mm lenses in my bag along with my tripod. I love to use my telephoto lens to capture landscapes in addition to photographing wildlife.Feedback
Patience is the key to good photography. I spent nearly an hour or so at this place before I could capture this shot. Studying the location will always find you new compositions which you might miss in the first instance.
