Behind The Lens

Location

I captured this little fella through the window of my living room, I live in a 5th floor where a tree gets really close to the apartment and you can watch a group of birds gathering to sing and eat in the morning.

Time

I remember being chatting with one of my sisters, between 4 and 5pm, when I saw that Little Blue Bird hanging on a branch and I thought "Nah.. it's going to go away any minute, I'll take too long reaching my Camera" I do it anyway and lucky me, I take the photo and the bird flu as soon as I removed my finger from the shooter!

Lighting

Completely Natural.

Equipment

This was shot in a Nikon D3100 with a Sigma 18-200 F3.5 and Natural Lightning.

Inspiration

The beautiful contrast of natural colors on the scene.

Editing

I developed the Raw file giving more color contrast, a little bit of Curbs and turning the Greener leaves to orange, to match the color I was looking for.

In my camera bag

I only own one body (Nikon D3100) and one lens (sigma 18-200 f3.5)

Feedback

I've learned that birds are really careful and used to fly away at the slightest human sign, so wearing dark clothes and moving slowly without making eye contact with them is really helpful!
