I took this picture when I was in Iceland during winter .The roads are covered with snow but often there is a lot of mist and no visibility. A lot of luck that day.Time
It was in the middle of the day so a lot of light, but the white of the snow that is reflected can often give burnt images.Lighting
I may surprise you by telling you that I often take pictures while driving. When you have long roads to take there are sometimes pictures that you would not do if you did not do them while driving . My technique use a minimum fast speed 1/1000s and saw the very clear light to casue snow iso 100 .Equipment
CANON 5DMARKIV , no tripod becaus ein the car .Inspiration
I like this photo for the contrast between the road and e completely white landscape. Just a red stain that gives a little color like a cherry that would have been placed on a tablecloth. It's an image that puts me in a good mood. We have a lot of mist, snowstorms, but that day everything was positfEditing
As I explain above I took this photo while driving . Since we had slightly tinted windows it was necessary to process in order to readjust the white balance .In my camera bag
Most of time I take only my camera, 2 batteries and a light bag . A heavy bag is always a problem if you have to walk a lot .I take also my compact flash in spare. I only carried a tripod if necessary, and another camera lens if I think I need it .I also have a wide angle , but I do not use it for the scenery, I think that too flattened image except of course in some cases. I still also have a notebook and a pen to take notes .I usually let my battery charger in the hotel , my extra batteries enough for the day. The goal , always limit the weight because of my back problem , if I walk too long with too heavy material it spoils my pleasure to photo .I need to feel free and comfortable to make good pictures. I still also have a small compact in spare in case of failure .Feedback
Be very careful with your iso snow requires iso 100 and with a fast speed, this also allows you not to take too much light so as not to have burnt areas. Either way as you are moving in the view, a minimum speed of 1/1000s prevents you from being blurred as you are moving yourself.
