I took this photo in my home! I actually learned a lot from this photo, like next time I will zoom out just a little to be able to catch her whole face.Time
This is that time of the afternoon when even the kids get a little sleepy. Our house had gotten quiet and Athena decided to jump up on the couch and take advantage of the blanket and perfect temperature. When I grabbed my camera, I got the look you see above.. a mixture of annoyance and pleading.Lighting
I actually just used natural lighting in this photo. It was afternoon and this spot is quiet sunny from the windows and skylights. I did find the original photo a little underexposed so I used some editing to just line out the details and lighten it up just a hair. Next time I will use more light whether it be from flash, more natural light or turning on additional lights inside.Equipment
I just used my Nikon D5500 with the Nikon 18-55mm lens. No Flash, no tripod.Inspiration
I love my dog. She is one of my biggest inspirations because of her big personality and expressiveness. I try to snap photos of her that capture what she is trying to communicate at the time.Editing
I did do some slight adjustment to exposure and definition using a basic editor. In my camera bag
I normally carry my trusty Nikon D5500, the 18-55 lens and 55-300 lens, a couple of SD cards, tripod, lens filters and handstrap. Thats it. Nothing fancy and I find that will cover a broad range of shooting.Feedback
Take lots of photos. I probably clicked 10 in a row just to get this one shot. I try to have my camera at the ready at all times. I find snapping pictures while the subject are doing their natural, day-to-day things is when I get the best shots.
