This is a Spring Starflower,it’s related to onions. It’s a beautiful little flower! You should frame it!

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my front yard, Idaho USA. I was trying to master macro and blur

Time

I had to take this image in the late afternoon early evening in order for the bloom to be open. Then I had to rush so the sun wasn't too far gone before I could capture the light.

Lighting

I try to use the natural light, I don't like what a flash does especially when so close.

Equipment

this was shot with a Canon SL1, Sigma 18-250

Inspiration

I love the way these little onions come back each year even though they were not "planted". The purple is one of my favorite colors too.

Editing

This was before I knew much about post-processing so just a little density in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

My bag changes all the time! The only normally is a Canon camera! I have upgraded to the 90D since this image was taken.

Feedback

Use a tripod to do macro and avoid the wind
