Totally rugged beauty all in one place! I'm in love with this photo!! Do you ever sell your photos? What would you charge for an 8x10 of this one? The two dark wolves look related in the face!

This photo was taken at the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre in Haliburton, Ontario They are an unsocialized pack that we have been following for quite a few years now.Time
This was taken in the fall of 2016. Whenever you go to the Haliburton Forest there is no guarantee you will see these beautiful creatures even though they are in a sanctuary. They have 15 acres to roam so you don't always see them. The observation area is on a south facing hill and you view them thru one way glass......they can hear you and smell you but if they could see you they would run as they are not socialized. This particular photo was a great opportunity for me to capture them standing together...not something seen very often. These siblings are simply beautiful..the black wolf on the left and the centre wolf are siblings from the same year and the black wolf on the right is the brother from the year before.Lighting
Because you can't control the light the biggest challenge in shooting these wolves is glare from the one way glass.....I usually make my husband wear a plain and dark coloured shirt so I can position him to stop any glare.Equipment
My favourite wildlife camera is my Canon 7D. I typically use my 100-400mm lens here although is it not always neededInspiration
I simply love wolves and these wolves in particular....a cause very close to my heart and we make the 4 hour drive from our home at least half a dozen times a yearEditing
All I did to this photo was crop it slightly. The beautiful leaves and coat colour are all naturalIn my camera bag
i don't go anywhere without my Canon7D and my Canon 5D and my 100-400mm lens......I also carry a wide angle and a flash (just in case)Feedback
The biggest piece of advice I can give is PATIENCE. When shooting wildlife you need a tonne of patience. There are many times I have been out and come back with nothing.......when the opportunity presents itself take advantage while keeping the best interests of the animal in mind!!
