Border Collie Gypsy is a flyball dog. And a very beautiful one I may say.
The original picture was of her running thru the flyball lanes. The look on her face was so priceless and full of pure joy. I had to think of something that would take away the surrounding jumps and background. I wanted her to be more of a focal point. This was my first attempt at anything artistic. Now I have all my friends wanting one.

Stunning!! I don't know what "flyball" means. Is she running the baseball bases and that is the chalk marker?

Thanks. I've taken more pictures of her and she always has that "fun" expression on her face. She is adorable.

Thank you AGAIN. This was my first artistic photo. Great look on Gypsy's face. :)

At first I thought it was a splash photo, but read the comments about it being flea powder … incredibly effective!

We practice under shade trees with the sun filtering thru. It was a nice sunny day.Equipment

My Aussie is on a fly ball team. I got into photography because of this sport and that is what I like to shoot...action shots that include a dog. If I'm not practicing with my Aussie then I'm practicing photography. When I edited the picture I just loved the look on her face, it was priceless. This is Gypsy a Border Collie owned by one of my friends.Editing
This was my first artistic attempt. I had never cut an object out so I spend a few hours on line with YouTube. Gypsy's expression needed something subtle but just as crazy as her expression. I found an overlay at Lightroom/Photoshop Stock, and yes I had to learn this as well. It was fun but I still like on site action shots. In my camera bag

Shooting action isn't for everyone but the best advice is not to get a portrait camera to do action. Yes, I'm aware that my camera isn't recommended for action but I still love it. You will need to master your panning skills. It is hard but way to fun when you capture something that just makes you smile.
