Location
I took this photo on the outskirts of Calgary Alberta Canada.Time
This image was shot in the late afternoon.Lighting
I was trying to get so different lens flares in my image and ended up capturing this image.Equipment
I used a Canon 7D Mark ii with a 70-200mm 2.8 lens and flash bounced off a near by reflector.Inspiration
I wanted to create an image my friend would cherish.Editing
I only use lightroom, not because I have anything against photoshop I just have not learned how to use it yet.In my camera bag
I was fortunate as I was able to get some amazing glass from my uncle who is a veteran photogrpaher. He had a bunch of used prime lenses he sold to me for a reduced rate and so by default I became a Canon shooter. I have a 50mm 1.2, 85mm 1.2, 16-35mm 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8. I only have one body but hope to save up enough for a full-frame camera in the next year or so. I use Black rapid straps and a reflector and Canon flash. When I first started though the only Iens I had was a 50mm 1.4 which I think was good for me becuase it forced me to zoom with my feet and really focus on my composition.Feedback
Use apps the track the direction of sunset, get an external flash and bounce it off a near by reflector. I had my flash in the hot shoe of my camera but did not want the harsh light of a direct flash on my subjects. I shot this in aperature priority mode with AI servo enable and I let out a burst. I asked my subjects to think of the time when they knew they were right for each other.
