Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in my yard in Affton, Missouri. I was sitting on a bench on my porch trying to capture Hummingbirds at my feeder and this little guy flew over to the Hibiscus Bloom (had never seen a Hummingbird at the Hibiscus prior to this) and I started snapping pictures

Time

It was later in the afternoon.

Lighting

The sun was shining from the west and highlighted the Hibiscus but was shot directly to the north so that there would not be a glare behind the Hibiscus and Hummingbird.

Equipment

I was holding my Kodak EasyShare Z981, setting on on action setting.

Inspiration

I was excited to see two beautiful objects of nature together and wanted to share my joy.

Editing

None, in fact it was a couple of days later when I uploaded many pictures and while browsing I came across this picture and actually gasped at the crisp, clear and well focused capture.

In my camera bag

Just my camera and extra batteries, of course.

Feedback
