Location
Bognor Regis isn't often thought of as a fishing no village, but right in the heart of the seaside you can find boats like this pulled up on the shore just waiting to be photographed.Time
I shot this at around 10.00 amLighting
The sun. Good lighting.Equipment
I might try to lie here and tell you I took this with my Nikon D300s, but in fact I took it with my iPhone 6s, which never fails to astonish me.Inspiration
I shot a similar boat a couple of years ago with my aforementioned Nikon D300s and a 16mm fisheye. This year i challenged myself to take one picture a day, and I wanted to replicate that image, so went to Bognor to find a boat...and there it is.Editing
I worked the image in Snapseed, tonal contrast, vignetting and a little general tuning. In my camera bag
I've recently move from Nikon to a Fuji X pro 2, and I'm loving it! 27mm pancake, 56mm f1.2 and a 55-200 zoom give me almost all the range I need, though I'd like a wider lens too. Soon...soon.Feedback
When you see something and think 'that's great; I'll come back and photograph that someday'... mostly you're deluding yourself. Much better to have a camera with you all the time...and now cameras on phones are so good you have no excuse anymore. None. Just saying.
