Location
This photo was taken at Wategos Beach in Byron BayTime
This photo wasn't meant to be, my family and I went away for the day to try and find a "hidden beach" yet after all day walking around in the bush we gave up and just went into town for lunch. We put on our swimmers and went for a swim in this magical beach. It was freezing and yet I still managed to get sunburnt, once I saw a small collection of rocks I ran back to the car to find all my camera gear. After hauling a huge bag of filters, lens and cameras I set up my equipment and placed my tripod into the wet sand and started to take the photo. It was taken in March 2016 around middayLighting
I wanted to create a bright and colourful scene where it really expanded on how the weather is in this tourist affected area.Equipment
I used a Nikon D1500 with a wide angle Tamron lens, two ND filters and a tripod.Inspiration
I wanted to create the affect of moving water on the rocks and still get the mountains behind. As well as doing this I wanted to create a look with the clouds that really burst the effect on how nice of a day it was.Editing
I did do a small amount of processing using photoshop where I created a more vibrant effect. In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon D1500, a 18-55mm lens, a wide angle lens, a macro lens, three batteries, a remote, a set of ND filters, my tripod, a lens cleaner, my Go Pro, my polaroid camera and my extra film for the camera.Feedback
I would say that ND filters are your most used product in these photos, I used all my filters at once and it worked very well to create the lighting I wanted.
