Beautiful photo. However, I would have edited the eyes to reduce the blood lines. Other than that it's a great shot.

This photo of the eyes has been in my mind since i first saw it. Mesmerizing, is she 'real' as Burkas are or a cleaver stage shot? I see so much in this image winner and get taken away. We adults who know nothing is perfect never saw huge bulging veins in this poor womans eyes we just saw everything but what technically could be.. Wonderful shot is all.

this woman is sad , may be the burka is a prison , and should not be represented without explanation , we must remember some women pay with their life because they did not want to accept this domination

Location
This photo was taken outside with the use of natural light. I was trying to get creative by capturing this young woman by solely focusing on her beautiful eyes. I'm a hobbyist photographer who is still learning.Time
I took this photo just after midday as this was when I bumped into her down the street and was very much captivated by her blue eyes.Lighting
As it was midday and the sun was still high in the sky. I decided to face her towards the light for nice catch lights in her eyes with that beautiful natural light.Equipment
I shot this image with a nikon d5200 and used a 70-300mm zoom lens.Inspiration
To be honest it was a spare of the moment decision that came out with great results.Editing
I was very green when it comes to post processing at the time of this photo. I used Photoshop to smooth out her skin and slightly lighten the eyes. But one day I would love to revisit the image with my now knowledge of post processing. In my camera bag
The main things I always have is my new nikon d810 with my nifty 50mm lens and I also always have a 70-300mm zoom lens. I carry a spare battery and lots of sd cards. I make sure my travel tripod is on hand and always have a ND and polarizing filter on hand.Feedback
I would suggest if you are going to take a photo like this, always get permission if its of another person otherwise it is a pretty simple but effective image you can easily recreate. Just need a camera and a head scarf or anything that can wrap around the eyes. If you want to make the eyes pop maybe try color coordinating the scarf color to the eyes, i.e. green scarf for green eyes.
