This really is a great capture, one that most people would pay little attention to on their way to the gate. It is fortunate you had time to kill and, that your photographic senses were awake.
The glowing colored, background and silhouette are fantastic. It is the varying diagonals, symmetry, reflections and warped, semi-mosaic of the ceiling that tie it all together.
Being the eccentric, sitting on the floor with a camera, in the middle of the airport, certainly paid off (in this case, at least).
Great job.

Location
This was take at Chicago's O'Hare Airport between terminals.Time
This was taken during a layover in the morning. I'm not sure the exact time but it's in a basement so outsode light is not a factor ever.Lighting
This shot is all about the Sky's the Limit art exhibit. The backlit panels make for a perfect opportunity to capture a silhouette shot.Equipment
Canon 24-70 f/2.8 Lens around 39mm without flash handheldInspiration
I was traveling through O'Hare searching for a way to kill some time between flights.Editing
Not much post processing here. A touch of Vibrance and adjusting the shadows and highlights. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L; Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L; Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L; 2x Canon TC; Sigma 50mm f/1.4Feedback
Be patient and want for the right silhouette to pass by at the right stride. I just sat in the floor and watched and was fortunate that a pilot passed by with his uniform on that made for an interesting profile silhouette.
