Location
I took this picture in my office, turned studio, in New York CityTime
It is taken during daytime, but in an almost completely dark room to avoid ghostingLighting
The lighting consists of four speed lights lighting through the background (a piece of glass with an opaque sheet of paper attached).Equipment
This was shot with my Nikon D800 mounted on a tripod. I used four speed lights for lighting and a Time machine to time the drops, the camera and the speed lights.Inspiration
Over the years I have seen water drop photography, and always been fascinated by it. This is my take on it. I love being able to change it up by adding color to the water, changing the lighting, the background and the container that the drops land in.Editing
I did a bit of cleaning up of stray drops etc. and some overall tweaking in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I always carry my Nikon D800 with a 28-70mm mounted. Apart from that, the lenses I bring vary from assignment to assignment.Feedback
Lots of patience and some technical skills are essential!
