This was taken on a cementary on All Souls' Day when we went to visit my mother-in-law grave.Time
This was late evening. It was already dark outside.Lighting
This was only natural light- only the candles. All that bokeh in the background comes from the candles on other graves. On All Souls' day in Poland all graves are filled up with candles. This is a really magical day.Equipment
I used my Sony A7 and manual Samyang85 mm 1.4.Inspiration
I love to go to the cementary on All Souls' day. This is one of the most magical nights in the year. A day full of thoughfullness. That day really inspired me.Editing
It was very easy edit. I lightened up the faces and reduced the noise, sharpened and exported. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Sony A7 and three lenses: Samyang85 mm 1.4, Zeiss Sonnar 135mm 1.8 and Sony 50mm 1.4, two extra batteries, a extra memory card and something for the kids: drinka and small toysFeedback
This is really difficult to shoot at night without and additional light besides candles. You need to use the widest aperture to let in the most light, use shutter speed fast enough to get the shot sharp and set a high ISO. Use more than one candle to get more light or try shooting when it's not completely dark yet. Most kids love to blow the candles so I'm sure your models will love that .
