I love this - it's magical! :) How did you make the image, may I ask?

This shot really touched me. The color and serenity is so dreamlike. Well done.

Location
This image was taken high up in the North GA mountains on a cold mist day a few months backTime
One of my favorite times to go out is early morning or late evening. In this case it happened to be a misty foggy day so by the time I found this spot it was later in the day.Lighting
As everyone knows lighting can be your worst enemy or your best friend, does not matter what you are shooting. My favorite time to go out and grab some shots is on a cloudy misty day. There is something about fog and mist that brings magic to your image.Equipment
I used my Nikon D750 on this day with my 24-120mm lens. Vanguard Alta Pro tripod. ND filter.Inspiration
Interesting question. On this day, I had set out to grab some waterfall shots in the remote part of the North GA mountains. My husband and I had been traveling on a long bumpy foggy road for a few hours trying to find this waterfall. We were probably about 4,000 feet up, when out of no where , I told my husband to stop and go back. I have no idea what attracted me to this particular tree, after all we have been surrounded for hours of the exact same scenery. I got out of the car, and just stood there mesmerized, pretty sure my husband thought I had lost my ever loving mind. There was something magical about this spot, I felt it. I love those moments of connection, and that is a prime example of why I love photography so much.Editing
I am finding that i love creating images just as much as i love shooting them. I combined 5 separate shots that I had taken into PS. My goal in this image was to create a magical feel, but keep it simple. My main choice was the nik collection, after several failed attempts in achieving the look I wanted, I found myself in the infrared category, wow what a difference that made! I added a few mask and adjustment layers and that was about it for this image. In my camera bag
Nikon d750, several ND filter, batteries. 105mm, 24-120mm, 300mm, speedlight, remote flash, flashlight, cleaning kit, knife, and my bag of M&M's in my side pocket.Feedback
The best advice that I can give on capturing something similar, is always go with your gut feeling, it will never steer you wrong, it's that simple;)
