I took this picture in rural Erath County near the community of Alexander. This was one of four major storms that hit Erath and surrounding counties. This one produced large hail and a tornado. The other three produced large hail and heavy winds damaging much of the county.Time
I can't remember the exact time of day but it was before noon. We followed three out of four storms that day. I had to go to work before the fourth rolled in. Took us about 5-6 hours of back and forth trips from Erath to surrounding counties.Lighting
There's not much to say here. It was a quick set up and take a few pictures. Didn't think about lighting at the time. Was more concerned about watching the storm.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel T3i and my tripod. The wind was insane with these storms.Inspiration
My love of nature and the awe inspiring scariness of Mother Nature.Editing
What you see is what you get.In my camera bag
My camera and a remote shutter for my night time pictures along with two extra batteries and a spare memory card because my own memory fails me at times.Feedback
Be careful. Mother Nature is no joke and won't hold back for anyone. I drove while a good friend and fellow first responder navigated through our home county. Tons of crazy drivers and storm spotters filled the highways with dangerous obstacles. Be ready to have your breath taken away by the complete awesome views.
